Began to be active as a researcher at the Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Center in 1981 and served as Head of Research at the Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Center from July 2005 to September 2012. The title of Main Researcher was obtained in 1997 in research in the field of Soil and Agro-climate. In addition, he is also active in publishing scientific papers and research results in Indonesian and English, both as the sole author and main author and co-authors, which are published in scientific journals, magazines, semi-scientific, proceedings, both from domestic and foreign agencies.

Louis is Director & Executive Pastry Chef in Academy of Pastry & Culinary Arts (APCA) Indonesia. Participating in Disciples Escoffier International is a non-profit association, dedicated to the culinary arts and the transmission of knowledge, also as vice chairman of the Organization & Membership of the Indonesia Cocoa Association. He also has written a book entitled “Chocology” about role model chocolate entrepreneurs in Indonesia.
